They Call Them Rubbers

I use the plastic eraser most often. It leaves little dust and is easy to find. Staedtler, Pentel, and other companies all make white plastic high-polymer erasers that are perfectly fine.

May I suggest an eraser in a holder called the Pentel Tri Eraser? It is a plastic white TRIANGULAR eraser in a plastic holder whose end you click like a mechanical pencil to advance the eraser strip. Because it is a triangular shape you can hold the eraser at an angle to get a fine tip to erase fine areas. Hold the eraser at an other angle and you can get a broad eraser to erase broad areas. It also importantly to me has a pocket clip.
